UNITING MILITARY FAMILIES
OUR MISSION
Our Grateful Nation exists to promote and preserve military family unity by guiding immigrant relatives of U.S. service members through lawful, federally recognized immigration pathways.
We focus on
Military Parole-in-Place
(MIL-PIP), a discretionary humanitarian program administered by the Department of Homeland Security and adjudicated by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which helps eligible military families stabilize their immigration status while honoring the sacrifices of those who serve.
Learn more about our passion about Military Parole in Place (MIL PIP) and how we believe it recognizes and honors the sacrifices made by service members, veterans, enlistees, and their loved ones.

STAFF SERGEANT ALEX JIMENEZ: A MILITARY HERO'S ULTIMATE SACRIFICE

In 2007, Staff Sergeant Jimenez deployed with the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. On May 12, 2007, his small unit was attacked and overrun by insurgents. Six soldiers were killed and Staff Sergeant Alex Jimenez and Pfc. Byron Founty were taken prisoner; the body of a seventh soldier was later found floating in the Euphrates River. In 2008, the remains of Staff Sergeant Jimenez and Pfc. Founty were recovered.
Programs like MIL-PIP exist because the federal government recognizes that military readiness depends on family stability, a principle reflected in DHS policy and USCIS adjudications supporting service members and their loved ones.
Our Grateful Nation (OGN) proudly recognizes the service and ultimate sacrifice of Staff Sergeant Alex Jimenez.
